The Muskegon Catholic Central football team rolled past Godwin Heights Friday night on the road, 42-6.

The victory was the fifth in a row for the Crusaders, who have already clinched a state playoff spot.

The Crusaders got on the scoreboard early in the first quarter on a 20-yard touchdown run by Carson St. Amour. He scored again three minutes later on an eight-yard run. Tio Knight finished the first quarter with a 30-yard scoring dash, giving his team a 21-0 lead after one.

MCC gave up a touchdown early in the second quarter, then Crusader quarterback Max Price connected with St Amour on a 41-yard TD pass to give MCC a commanding 28-6 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Price found an open Dane Rutz for a 58-yard touchdown strike. St. Amour finished the scoring with a 45 yard TD run.

St. Amour led MCC in rushing with 101 yards on 10 carries. Price had 128 yards passing while Knight added 61 yards on the ground. Rutz led the Crusaders with 61 yards receiving while Nolan Convertini and Tommy Kartes paced the defense with six tackles apiece.

The Crusaders finished the regular season with a 6-2 record.
