The Montague football team rolled past Shelby on the road, defeating the Tigers 75-0 in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Wildcats scored four touchdowns in the first quarter, courtesy of Johnny Monette (17-yard reception), Dylan Everett (20-yard reception and one-yard run), and quarterback Drew Collins (two-yard run).

Everett added two more touchdown, both from one-yard out, in the second quarter, while Collins found the end zone on a three yard run. Brennan Schwarz scored on a 52-yard touchdown reception to close the first half scoring.

Montague carried a commanding 55-0 lead at halftime.

The Wildcats continued their onslaught with a five-yard touchdown run by Andrew Kooi and both a one-yard and 12-yard scamper by Zach Nelson.

Collins completed seven passes and recorded 180 yards in the air while Everett led the Wildcats with 148 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Monette led Montague receivers with 79 yards on three receptions.

The Wildcats were paced defensively by Trey Mikkelson and Aaron Rolf with five and four tackles, respectively.

Montague is now 5-2 on the season and will travel to play Whitehall next week.

Shelby falls to 0-7 and will travel to face Hart next Friday.
