The Muskegon Catholic posted a 2-1 record on Thursday in a quad-match at Grant High School.

The Crusaders defeated Holland Black River in two sets (25-22, 25-19) and Walkerville 2-0 (25-12, 25-17), before losing to the host Tigers 2-0 (14-25, 22-25).

Calvin’Nae Simmons led MCC with 19 kills while Erin LaVigne added seven aces.

The Crusaders were paced defensively by Caitlyn Fodrocy and Payton Helton with 37 and 21 digs, respectively. Claire LaVigne chipped in with 49 assists.

MCC is now 12-13 overall on the season.
