The Orchard View football team remained perfect on the season with a 68-6 win over Muskegon Heights in a Lakes 8 contest.

The win clinches a Lakes 8 conference title for Orchard View.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 32-0 lead after the first quarter.

Orchard View’s Darius Williams opened the scoring with a 52-yard touchdown run, then scored on a 59-yard scamper.

Brendan Nelson reached the end zone on a three-yard touchdown run for the Cardinals and Williams scored on a nine-yard run.

OV increased its lead to 54-0 at halftime, scoring on two 10-yard runs by Tavion Chavez and a one-yard run by Elijah Shears.

Williams scored his fourth touchdown of the game from 18 yards out to give the Cardinals a 60-0 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

The Tigers finally scored midway through the fourth quarter on a 12-yard run by Jakari Edwards.

OV closed out the scoring with a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown by Alex Andrews.

Williams led the Cardinal offense with 143 yards on five carries. Tavion Chavez followed with 70 yards rushing on nine carries.

Anthony Floyd led the Muskegon Heights offense with 68 yards on 12 carries.

The Cardinals improved to 7-0 on the season and will travel to Hesperia next week.

Muskegon Heights is now 1-6 on the year and will travel next week to play Lenawee Christian.
