Fruitport’s Logan Manciu exploded for five goals on Thursday, leading the Trojans to a 7-1 victory over Kenowa Hills in O-K Black Conference soccer action.

Cody Mayette and Ryan Laus each added two goals for the Trojans. Assists came from Bryce Lanore, Carter Golden and Henry Swartz.

Goalkeeper Justin Laus had eight saves for the Trojans, who improved to 8-8-2 on the season and 4-7 in conference play.

O-K BLACK

REETHS-PUFFER 2, JENISON 2 – The Rockets struck first in the first half when John Farrell’s long cross found its way to Jaxon Carpenter, who scored to give Reeths-Puffer a halftime lead.

Jenison scored the equalizer early in the second half, then Carpenter scored his second goal with eight minutes left to make it 2-1.

The Wildcats scored the typing goal only 30 seconds later on a deflection.

The draw moves Reeths-Puffer to 8-7-2 overall and 4-5-1 in conference play.

NON-CONFERENCE

BYRON CENTER 5, MONA SHORES 2 – Scoring for Mona Shores were Luiz Zambrano (unassisted) and Cooper Sabourin, who was assisted by Ethan Brown.

Tyler Ross made six saves in goal for the Sailors, who fell to 8-7 on the season.
