The Spring Lake soccer team earned the chance to play for a district championship with a 3-1 win over longtime rival Fruitport on Wednesday.

 Ben Bush scored twice for Spring Lake, including one goal that went directly into the net off a corner kick. Porter Saunders scored the other Laker tally, heading in a corner kick.

 The Lakers will play Reeths-Puffer in a Division 2 district championship game Saturday at 10 a.m. at Allendale High School. The winner will advance to next week’s regionals. Reeths-Puffer earned its way into the finals with a 1-0 in over Whitehall on Tuesday.
