The Western Michigan Christian boys soccer team won the Lakes 8 Conference title, defeating Muskegon Catholic 8-0 on Tuesday in its last game of the regular season.

The Warriors led 5-0 at halftime.

Isaiah Morales and Brandon Eenigenburg paced WMC with two goals apiece. Ryan Bradford, Charlie Alfree, Brandon Fles and Owen Varnado each added a single tally.

Sandi Masumpa and Issac VanHoeven each chipped in with two assists, while Michael Tencate, Fles, Logan Pollack and Alfree had one helper.

The Warriors are now 11-2-3 on the season and 6-0-2 in league play.

WMC will start district play on Thursday at home against Eau Claire.

LUDINGTON 4, MANISTEE 1 -Isaiah Lynn’s hat trick propelled the Orioles to a Lakes 8 win.

John Biggs scored the other Oriole goal. Biggs also had an assist along with Ian Ransom, Nick Patterson and Noah King.

Ludington goalkeeper Kyle Wendt stopped two shots in goal.

The Orioles finished the regular season 8-9-3 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play. They host Reed City Thursday to open postseason play.

O-K BLACK CONFERENCE

GR UNION 2, REETHS-PUFFER 1 – Derek Whitsell scored the lone goal for the Rockets in a makeup game against the league champions.

The Rockets finished their season with an 8-8-2 overall record and a 4-6-1 record in league play.

Reeths-Puffer will open districts on Friday against Coopersville at 5:00 p.m.
