The North Muskegon volleyball team will attempt to win its second straight district volleyball title on Friday, after quickly dispensing with Holland Black River in three sets on Thursday in the semifinal round at Western Michigan Christian High School.’

The Norse won by set scores of 25-12, 25-12 and 25-9.

Syann Fairfield had a big night for North Muskegon with 25 kills. Chandler Falkowski added nine. Megan Houseman and Carina Steketee served up eight and five aces, respectively, while Emma Houseman directed the offense with 29 assists.

The top defender was Bre Adamczak, who totaled eight digs.

North Muskegon will square off with Western Michigan Christian on the Warriors’ court on Friday night for the district championship.
