The West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science was unable to keep pace with the solid team-play that Muskegon Catholic Central displayed in a 3-0 sweep on Wednesday in a Division 4 district volleyball matchup.

The Crusaders won by scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 25-18.

Calvins’Nae Simmons led the MCC attack with 12 kills while Maria Modaff had six. Claire Lavigne set up the offense with 27 assists. Caitlyn Fodrocy came up big defensively, accumulating 20 digs for the Crusaders.

The Crusaders, now 19-20 overall, advance to the district finals on Friday at 7 p.m. against Fruitport Calvary Christian.
