The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team will play for a district championship following its easy three-set win over Fennville on Thursday in the Division 3 semifinals on its home court.

The Warriors cruised to the win by scores of 25-8, 25-5, 25-13.

WMC relied on strong service runs to dominate the match. Claudia Kingsma and Taylor Folkersma each had 13 service points, including five aces, while Esther Hartley added nine service points, including four aces.

Alicia Leffring had seven kills and Kyla Wiersema added six. Chloe Mitchell set things up with 19 assists. Defensively, Grace VanBeek had nine digs while Leffring and Meghan Heiss each had two blocks.

Western Michigan Christian improved to 36-10-3 on the season. The Warriors will face North Muskegon on Friday at 6 p.m. in the district championship match.
