Monday girls basketball roundup: Fremont and Fruitport Calvary each pick up victories

The Fremont girls basketball team defeated Shelby 46-35 on Monday night for their first win of the season.

Calla Miller led the Packers with 13 points while Kaitlynn Bennett totaled nine points and Chloe Shriver had eight points.

Natalie Jamieson had 11 rebounds for Fremont while Shriver totaled four steals and three assists.

Shelby was led by Kendall Zoulek with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

CEDAR SPRINGS 57, OAKRIDGE 20 – Leah Lowry led the Eagles (0-2) with 11 points including nine free throws.

FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 64, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 56 – The Eagles outscored Mason County Central in every quarter Monday night, picking up the non-conference victory.

Kelsey Richards had a monster game for the Eagles, totaling 34 points and 13 reobunds while Lizzie Cammenga added 11 opints, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Cate Anhalt had 10 points, six assists and five steals for Calvary.

Elle Janicki led the Spartans with 17 points while Charlie Banks added nine points and seven rebounds.
