The Muskegon Community College womens basketball team traveled to Benton Harbor on Saturday and defeated Lake Michigan College 91-58.
After a strong first quarter, the Jayhawks were ahead 30-8 before extending the lead to 48-20 at halftime.
In the third quarter the two teams were more even with Muskegon leading 75-44.
Yasmine Colon led Muskegon with 25 points while Tierra Williams had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Iyana Brown also had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds while Tanae Hamer added 13 points.
Muskegon is now 11-2 overall on the season and 3-1 in conference play.
