Jayhawks pick up road victory with strong performance at Kalamazoo Valley

The Muskegon Community College women traveled to Kalamazoo Valley Community College and picked up a 68-49 victory.

After the first quarter, Muskegon led 18-11 before extending the lead to 35-22 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Jayhawks outscored Kalamazoo Valley 21-14 to take a 56-36 lead.

Yasmine Colon paced Muskegon with 21 points while Iyana Brown added 16 points and 13 rebounds. Julia Tierman added 11 points.

Muskegon is now 14-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
