Mona Shores falls short in comeback effort, drops contest to Cedar Springs

The Mona Shores boys basketball team started off slow and failed to complete a comeback on Thursday night, resulting in a 49-44 loss to Cedar Springs in a non-league contest.

The Sailors fell behind 18-6 after the first quarter, trailed 26-20 at halftime before tying the game 34-34 through three quarters.

Mona Shores was outscored by a 15-10 margin during the final quarter.

The Sailors were paced by Ahmon Dean with 18 points while Kobe Allen added eight points and five rebounds. Zander Linstrom pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
