Kelsey Richards broke a school single-game scoring record with 43 points in a 64-32 Fruitport Calvary Christian victory over Manistee Catholic on Monday.

The Fruitport Calvary Christian record previously was 42, which was held by Kelsey’s sister Taylor Richards.

The Eagles jumped out with a 15-2 run, that fueled a 17-12 score after the first quarter.

The Eagles led 31-17 lead at halftime, before pulling away in the third to cruise to victory.

Lizzie Cammenga added 12 points and 11 rebounds while Cate Anhalt led the Eagles defensively with nine steals.

The eagles are now 9-2 overall this season with a 2-0 Alliance League play record.

LUDINGTON 61, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 30-The Orioles cruised past the Spartans in a non-conference matchup Monday night. The Orioles defense held the Spartans to single digit scoring in each of the first three quarters.

The Orioles were led by De’Lahna Porter with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Zoey Zartarga chipped in with 12 points. The Spartans were paced by Grace VanDyke with seven points and six rebounds.
