The Shelby girls basketball team remained perfect in West Michigan Conference play with  a 42-30 victory over Mason County Central on Thursday.

The game was tight for three of the four quarters, but the Tigers gained the edge with a 16-7 advantage in the second quarter.

Kendall Zoulek led Shelby with 16 points, 14 rebounds and three steals.  Lexi Schultz added 12 points, Courtney Brown scored seven and Ella Olmstead pulled down six rebounds.

Nyah Tyron totaled 16 points, five steals and six rebounds for Mason County Central.

Shelby is now 7-2 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

MONTAGUE 52, NORTH MUSKEGON 40 – The Wildcats kept pace with Shelby in the conference standings, running their record to 5-0.

Montague led 15-11 after one quarter, then opened up a 27-17 lead at halftime.

Braquelle Osborne paced the Wildcats with 17 points and six assists. Montague is 7-1 overall on the season.

RAVENNA 39, OARKIDGE 25 – Ravenna came out hot, taking control with a 17-3 advantage in the first quarter.

Ana Postema led the Bulldogs with 15 points and four assists, Laney Mabrito and Emma Gillard snagged 11 and 9 rebounds, respectively.
