The Ravenna girls basketball team held on to defeat Montague 42-40 on Thursday in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Bulldogs trailed 11-7 after the first quarter and 19-16 at halftime but went on a 15-7 third quarter run to take a 31-26 advantage going into the fourth quarter.

Montague cut its deficit to two points on a three-point basket with three seconds left but failed to foul or regain possession for a chance to tie or win the game.

Ravenna was led by Haley Lemkie with 12 points while Ana Postema added nine. Laney Mabrito pulled down a team-high 16 rebounds.

The Bulldogs are now 7-4 on the season and 4-4 in league play.

HART 56, OAKRIDGE 30- The Pirates jumped out to a 20-7 lead after the opening quarter, led 34-10 at halftime and had a 46-21 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Jayd Hovey led Hart with 17 points, six rebounds and six steals, while Nicole Rockwell added 14 points.

The Pirates are now 12-1 overall and 7-1 in league play.

NORTH MUSKEGON 52, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 48- The Norse led 10-6 after the first quarter, 25-23 at halftime and 36-35 through three quarters. North Muskegon closed the game with a 16-13 fourth quarter run.

Chandler Falkowski led the Norse with 13 points.

Both teams combined to shoot 73 free throws throughout the game, including 37 during the final quarter.

The Spartans were led by Rachel Miller with a game-high 16 points along with six rebounds, while Nyah Tyron added 13 points, five steals and five rebounds.

North Muskegon improved to 3-8 on the season and 2-6 in league play.

PENTWATER 55, CADILLAC HERITAGE 18- The Falcons jumped out to a 12-2 lead after the first quarter, led 24-7 at halftime and had a 41-12 advantage heading into the fourth frame.

Mikaylyn led Pentwater with 12 points.
