The Muskegon Big Reds’ two big scorers showed off their skills on Friday night, leading their team to a decisive 94-49 victory over Mona Shores in an O-K Black Conference matchup on the Sailors’ home court.

Jarvis Walker led the Big Reds with 25 points while Vern Nash scored 21. Zykier Davis added 12 for the winners.

Muskegon jumped out to a 23-14 lead in the first quarter before blowing the game open, taking a 53-30 lead into halftime. The Big Reds continued their strong play with a 21-10 run in the third quarter, pushing their lead to 74-40.

The Sailors were paced by Drew Southland with 14 points, Jaylen Hopson with 11 and Tre Hatcher with nine.

The Big Reds are now 7-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The Sailors are 2-8 and 0-4.
