The Muskegon Big Reds overcame a first quarter deficit and cruised to a 77-32 win over Fruitport in a boys basketball O-K Black Conference game.

The Big Reds trailed 15-9 after the first quarter, then outscored Fruitport by a 19-10 margin during the second quarter to take a 28-25 lead at halftime. Muskegon outscored the Trojans by a 49-7 margin during the second half.

Vern Nash led the way for the Big Reds with a game-high 19 points, followed by Lamar Lee with 14. Zykier Davis chipped in with 12 and Jarvis Walker had 11 for Muskegon.

Fruitport was paced by Marcelo Conklin and Gavin Fisher with nine points each.

The Big Reds improved to 15-2 overall and maintain an undefeated record in conference at 11-0, while Fruitport is now 8-9 on the season and is 4-7 in league play.
