A huge performance from Taylor Folkema led the Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team to a nonconference victory on Tuesday night. 

The junior stuffed the stat sheet with 34 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and three assists in a 58-53 win over Covenant Christian. Folkema was 10-15 from the foul line on the night.

The Warriors led by 10 points with 2 minutes to play and withstood a late run to hold onto the win. 

The Warriors led 13-8 after one quarter and 30-27 at halftime. A 16-9 edge in the third gave WMC a 46-36 edge heading to the final quarter.

Kyla Wiersema scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds for WMC. 

The Warriors improved to 12-5 overall and are 6-2 in conference play.
