The Fremont girls basketball team captured its first conference title in 40 years on Friday night. The Packers dominated Chippewa Hills, 43-16, on Friday to finish 13-1 in conference play.

Fremont finishes tied atop the CSAA Gold with Big Rapids. The two teams split a pair of regular season meetings.

The Packers dominated the game from the opening quarter. Fremont led 12-3 after the first quarter, 24-5 at halftime and 37-13 after three quarters. 

Calla Miller led the Packer offense with 13 points. Paige Vandenberg finished with nine points and nine rebounds while Natalie Jamieson recorded eight points and six rebounds.

Fremont finishes the regular season at 15-5 overall. The Packers play Newaygo at home in the first round of district play on Monday.
