The Fremont wrestling team fell 48-19 to Alma on Friday in the Division 3 team wrestling quarterfinals at Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.

Fremont fell behind 15-0 before Kyler Kolk (215) picked up a 10-1 major decision victory to cut the Packer deficit to 15-4.

After Alam extended the lead to 21-4, RJ Thome (103) made quick work of his opponent, picking up a win via pin in only 22 seconds. The Thome victory cut the Fremont deficit to 21-10.

Alma however responded by winning the next six matches and extending their lead to 48-10.

Jager Kibart (145) got Fremont back on the board with a pin victory at the 4:41 mark which made the score 48-16.

In the final match, Trey Breuker picked up a 5-3 decisoin victory to make the final score 48-19.

Alma will next face Richmond in the Division 3 semifinals on Saturday at noon.
