The Kent City boys basketball team doubled up Lakeview 80-40 on Friday night.

The Eagles held a 21-5 lead after one quarter and 48-17 at the half.

Eli Carlson paced the Eagles with 33 points, including eight 3-pointers in the first half for Kent City. Freshman Kyler Larson added 10 points in the win. 

Kent City improved to 9-4 overall and 7-0 in league play.

BIG RAPIDS 60, FREMONT 50– The Packer suffered their first CSAA Gold conference Friday night to the Cardinals.

Fremont jumped out 15-11 lead in the first quarter and took a 27-24 advantage into halftime.

The Cardinals jumped on Fremont after halftime and took a 41-38 lead after three quarters. 

Chris Kennedy led the Packers with 21 points, while Braiden McDonald had 11.

The Packers are 8-1 in conference and 11-3 overall. 

WHITE CLOUD 61, HESPERIA 35 – The Panthers are still in the hunt for their first win of the season despite improved performances.

White Cloud controlled the first half, outscoring Hesperia by a 31-20 margin. The Panthers were then held to just 15 points during the second half.

Logan Balkema paced the Panthers with 13 points on the night.

Hesperia is now 0-15 overall and 0-8 in conference play.
