The Fruitport Calvary boys basketball team won its second game of the season, defeating Kalamazoo Heritage Christian 45-33 on Friday night.

The Eagles played well during the second half after trailing 13-6 after the first quarter and 21-7 at halftime.

Fruitport Calvary outscored its opponent by a 19-5 margin during the third frame to tie the at 26-26, then closed out the game with a 19-7 run.

Ben Zelenka paced the Eagles with 19 points, seven rebounds and five steals. Jacob Schuitema followed with 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds.

Fruitport Calvary improved to 2-17 overall and 2-11 in conference play.
