The Grand Haven girls basketball team won a tight non-league contest 46-44 over Ludington on Tuesday night.

The Bucs jumped out to an 11-3 lead after the opening quarter and held a 22-14 advantage at halftime.

The Orioles outscored Grand Haven by a 12-7 margin, narrowing the gap to 29-26 heading into the final stanza. Grand Haven managed to hold on in the fourth despite being outscored 18-17 during the final frame.

The Bucs were paced by Jolee Houle with 14 points, while Caydee Constant and Zoe Spoelman each chipped in with 13.

The Orioles were led by De’Lahna Porter with a game-high 17 points.

Grand Haven is now 8-5 on the season and 2-4 in league play, while the Orioles fell to 11-2 on the year but remains perfect in conference action with a 6-0 record.
