The Hart wrestling team had the season come to an end on Friday afternoon with a 43-18 loss to Manchester in the Division 4 quarterfinals at Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.
Hart took an early 6-0 lead when Mason Cantu (140) pinned his opponent in the opening match.
The Pirate lead extended to 9-0 when Jerry Brandel (145) picked up a 13-6 decision victory in the second match of the afternoon.
After Manchester cut the Hart lead to 9-6, Thomas Tanner (160) picked up a 3-1 overtime decision victory to extend the Pirate lead to 12-6.
However, Manchester responded with six straight victories, taking a 33-12 lead over Hart.
Nick Sawdy (119) picked up the final victory for Hart on Friday winning by forfeit and cutting the Pirate deficit to 33-18.
Manchester took the final three matches, ultimately winning 43-18.
Manchester will face Hudson on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Division 4 semifinals.
