Brayden Positer’s shot from beyond half court at the buzzer propelled the Ludington boys basketball team to a 48-47 victory over Whitehall in non-league action on Tuesday.

Positer’s game-winning shot came after Addison Bluhm nailed two free throws to give the Vikings a 47-45 advantage with 2.3 seconds remaining.

The Orioles led 16-9 after the first quarter but trailed 26-24 at halftime after getting outscored by a 17-8 margin during the second quarter.

Peyton LaCombe paced the Orioles with 25 points, while Positer finished with 10.

The Vikings were led by Dayton Cole with 17 points.

The Orioles improved to 11-6 overall and are 6-2 in conference play, while Whitehall fell to 7-9 on the season and 6-6 in league action.
