The Ludington girls basketball team narrowly fell 41-40 to Traverse City West on Monday night in a non-conference contest.

With 15 seconds remaining, the two teams were tied at 40-40 before an Oriole turnover and foul gave Traverse City West a one-point lead with a converted free throw.

In the final seconds, Ludington missed three shots that could have won the game for Ludington.

The Orioles were led by De’Lahna Porter who finished with 18 points.

Ludington is now 12-3 overall on the season.

BATTLE CREEK CALHOUN CHRISTIAN 59, FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 52 – The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team was outscored 22-9 in the third quarter.

Kelsey Richards finished with 23 points and eight rebounds while McKena Wilson added 12 points.

Kyra Hamilton had 12 rebounds for the Eagles and Lizzie Cammenga added eight assists.

The Eagles are now 14-3 overall on the season.
