The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team cruised to a 94-79 win over Lansing Community College on Wednesday.

The win for the Jayhawks added another notch to a growing season.

MCC has now won 11-straight games, and is currently 11-0 in the Western Conference, good enough for first place and a 16-4 overall record this season.

The winning on Wednesday night was led in tandem by the Jayhawks’ Travez Nyx and Jermayne Goliday. Nyx tallied 29 points while Golidy dropped in 27 points.

MCC was also led with a double-double by 6-11 center Vejas Grazulis who had 14 points and 15 rebounds. Kylan Shipp hit double figures with 14 points while Simon Obj came off the bench with eight points.

The Jayhawks are shooting a solid 46.6% from the floor this season and are averaging 92.8 points per game. The team’s 3-point percentage has been hard to defend, shooting 34.9% from behind the arc this season.

MCC travels on the road this weekend, heading to Ancilla College for a clash of the top two Western Conference teams. The Jayhawks hold a two-game advantage over Ancilla which is 9-2 in conference play.
