The Muskegon Community College womens basketball team defeated Ancilla Community College 74-61 on Saturday.
Muskegon had a strong first quarter, jumping out to a 23-13 lead before having that lead cut into and only leading 35-34 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Muskegon fell behind by four before jumping back ahead to take a 53-48 lead.
Iyana Brown paced the Jayhawks with 23 points and nine rebounds while Tierra Williams added 14 points and eight rebounds. Kacy Jeffries finished with 11 points while Yasmine Colon chipped in 10 points.
