Saturday bowling roundup: Mona Shores girls team wins the Mona Shores Open

The Mona Shores girls bowling team took home the championship at the Mona Shores Open on Saturday, defeating Forest Hills Northern in the championship match.

Lindsay Cross paced the Sailors with a sixth place overall finish on the day.

MONA SHORES BOYS ALSO IN ACTION – The Mona Shores boys bowling team finished 12thon Saturday at their own Open.

Caleb Leonard finished second overall at the tournament with a series score of 633.

FRUITPORT BOYS FINISH FIFTH – The Fruitport boys bowling team finished fifth on Saturday in the Mona Shores Open at Sherman Lanes.

Zander Leonard led the Trojans with a 245 game high score and a 603 series high score which was ninth overall in tournament play.

Rounding out the boys scores were Jray Conklin with 194, Jon Wildey with 177 and Cameron Weaver with 174.

FRUITPORT GIRLS TAKE SIXTH – The Fruitport girls bowling team finished sixth on Saturday at the Mona Shores Open.

Kennadi Dykstra led the Trojans with a series score of 480 while Jessica Plichta had a game score of 198.

Raegan Dykstra had a game score of 165 while Avery Wilks also scored 165.
