The Mason County Central girls basketball team won a close 40-38 game in comeback fashion against Oakridge in West Michigan Conference play.

The Spartans trailed 13-9 after the 29-15 at halftime before going on a 14-4 third quarter run to cut the deficit to 33-29 heading into the fourth quarter.

Mason County Central kept the momentum in the last quarter, closing the game on an 11-5 run.

Grace VanDyke led the Spartans with 12 points and eight rebounds. Abbey Lyon added seven points and five rebounds for MCC, while Gabby Jenson chipped in with six points and 10 rebounds.

RAVENNA 43, NORTH MUSKEGON 38– The Bulldogs overcame a six-point halftime deficit and earned a league win on Thursday night.

North Muskegon led 11-6 after the first quarter and 20-14 at halftime. Ravenna outscored the Norse by a 15-9 margin during the third quarter to tie the game 29-29 heading into the final stanza.

The Bulldogs closed the contest with a 14-9 fourth quarter run.

Haley Lemki paced Ravenna with 15 points.

The Norse were led by Chandler Falkowski with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

North Muskegon drops its record to 4-11 on the season and 2-9 in league play.

MARION 53, PENTWATER 41- The Falcons were back in action after having two weeks off due to illnesses.

Pentwater struggled in its returning, trailing 9-8 after the first quarter, 24-17 at halftime and 36-28 through three quarters.

Terra Cluchey led the Falcons with 14 points.
