The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team defeated Hart 47-35 on Tuesday in a non-conference matchup.

The game was tied at 22-22 at halftime before the Warriors went on a 25-6 third quarter tear.

Kyla Wiersema led the Warriors with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Taylor Folkema contributed with 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Hart was paced by Jayd Hovey, who led all players with 25 points. Cassidy Copenhaver chipped in with five.

WMC improved to 10-4 overall and 6-1 in conference, while the Pirates fell to 14-2 overall and is 9-1 in conference.

KENT CITY 72, CENTRAL MONTCALM 48– Kenzie Bowers had a game-high 27 points to lead the Eagles to a victory.

Kent City led 8-6 after one quarter, 33-20 at halftime and 53-31 through three quarters.

Jenna Harrison added 14 points while Taryn Preston had 13 for the Eagles.

Kent City is now 14-1 on the year and 6-0 in league play.

FRUITPORT 45, RAVENNA 11- The Trojans cruised to a 21-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 28-3 at halftime. Fruitport held a 45-6 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Kennah VerMerris paced Fruitport with 15 points while Ellie Fisher added 11 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks. Sydney Bol chipped in with 11 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals.

FREMONT 48, WHITEHALL 30– The Packers led 16-7 after the first quarter, 31-20 at halftime and 43-21 through three quarters.

Calla Miller paced Fremont with 18 points and three steals, while Natalie Jamieson added 10 points, five rebounds and four steals. Kaitlynn Bennett chipped in, pulling down six rebounds.

The Vikings were led by Karoline Glamzi with eight points.

The Packers are now 10-4 on the season and 8-0 in conference play, while Whitehall fell to 8-7 overall on the season.

TRI-COUNTY 53, ORCHARD VIEW 28– The Cardinals trailed 13-4 after the first quarter, 24-9 at halftime and 44-22 heading into the fourth quarter.

MacKenzie Filipiak led OV with eight points and four steals, while Lilli Goodrich added six points and seven rebound. Allison Tenhove chipped in with six points and eight rebounds.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 38, ZION CHRISTIAN 22- The Crusaders led 17-8 after one quarter, 22-11 at halftime and 32-15 through three frames.

Jailyn Johnson led MCC with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Payton Helton added 10 points.

The Crusaders are now 2-11 overall on the season.

CEDAR SPRINGS 38, MONA SHORES 34- Brooke LeRoux and Riley Rosenthal led the Sailors with 12 points apiece.

Mona Shores led 7-4 after the first quarter and 14-13 at halftime.

The Sailors were outscored by a 13-8 margin during the third quarter.

Mona Shores is now 6-8 on the season and 3-3 in league play.
