Wednesday boys hoops roundup: Big first half helps Muskegon Catholic cruise to victory

The Muskegon Catholic boys basketball team used a 30-11 first half advantage to defeat Holland Black River 55-25 on Wednesday night.

Jared Dugener led the Crusaders with 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while Sam Novotny added 13 points, five rebounds and three steals.

With the victory, Muskegon Catholic is now 6-7 overall on the season.

PENTWATER 57, MARION 46 – The Pentwater boys basketball team improved its record to 11-2 overall and 10-1 in conference play with a win on Wednesday.

Seven of the eight Falcons scored in the game while Gannon McDonough led Pentwater with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Khole Hofmann also had a double-double for the Falcons, finishing with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
