Ravenna continued its strong pace in the West Michigan Conference race on Tuesday night with a 56-38 win over Whitehall.

Ravenna is now 12-0 overall this season and 9-0 in conference action.

The Bulldogs got off to a solid start offensively, leading 17-5 in the first quarter and carrying a 31-24 advantage into halftime. Ravenna further extended their lead, 49-31, after the third quarter, outscoring the Viking 18-7.

Calvin Schullo paced the Bulldogs with 15 points. Hunk Funk added 13 points and six rebounds while Dominic Jones recorded eight points. Trevor Sterken finished with seven points, seven assists, and six boards.

Dayton Cole led Whitehall with 12 points. Ravenna improves to 12-0 overall and 9-0 in conference play. Whitehall is now 5-7 overall and 4-5 in conference play.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 65, HART 26 – The Spartans maintained the advantage early in the game, leading 16-4 in the first and maintaining a commanding 33-13 halftime lead. Mason County outscored Hart 14-11 in the third frame.

Jeffery Carrier paced the Spartans with 26 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Malakye Strejcek followed with eight points and 12 rebounds while Will Chye added eight points and three assists in the win.

Zach Bitely scored seven points for Hart.

The win leaves the Spartans 7-6 on the season and 4-5 in league play. Hart falls to 4-10 overall and 0-9 in conference play.

NORTH MUSKEGON 51, SHELBY 13 – The Norsemen maintained the offensive advantage early,  leading 8-2 in the first quarter before going on a 23-0 run in the second quarter. North Muskegon continued to dominate in the second half, forcing a running clock.

Trevor Schultz paced North Muskegon with 16 points and four rebounds while John Hayhurst recorded nine points and ten rebounds. Gage Landis had five points for Shelby.

North Muskegon improves to 8-4 overall and 6-3 in conference play while Shelby falls to 1-10 overall and 1-8 in league play. The Norsemen play host to Whitehall on Friday.
