The Ravenna boys basketball teams’ perfect season came to a painful end in a 47-37 loss to Kent City on Wednesday in a Division 3 district tournament semifinal game.
Ravenna led 11-8 after one quarter, and the score was tied 20-20 at halftime. Kent City took control with a 16-7 edge in the third quarter.
Eli Carlson paced Kent City with 15 points. Max Hudson chipped in with 14 points, while Will Wright scored 13.|
The Bulldogs were led by Hunter Funk with 11 points and Jacob May with 10.
Ravenna finished the season with a 21-1 record.
Kent City advances to play Western Michigan Christian on Friday in the district championship game at Ravenna High School at 7 p.m.
