The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team ended its regular season with a tough 61-60 loss to Zeeland West on Tuesday in a non-league game.
The Rockets led 15-11 after the first quarter, 35-28 at halftime and 47-43 through three stanzas.
Reeths-Puffer failed to hold on to its advantage after getting outscored by an 18-13 margin during the final quarter.
Emcee Williams paced the Rockets with 18 points, while Kaleb Mitchelson added 13 and Josh Jordan had 11.
Reeths-Puffer finishes it regular season with a 12-8 overall record and 8-4 in league play.
The Rockets will open districts on Monday against Grand Haven in Division 1 action.
