Robyn Hunt of Mona Shores turned in the most impressive performance among local runners on Monday at the Trojan/Eagle Invitational cross country meet at Fruitport Calvary Christian High School.

Hunt won the girls race in the large-school Trojan Division with a time of 21:16.47. She beat second-place Emma Kern of Holland Christian (22:28.96) by more than a minute.

Seven other local runners finished in the top 10 in the division – Ariana Treat of Whitehall (third place), Brooke Sweet of Fruitport (fourth place), Kennedy Hynde of Reeths-Puffer (sixth place), Destiny Douglas of Mona Shores (seventh place), Eva Shinabery of Reeths-Puffer (eighth place), Hayli Fagan of Whitehall (ninth place) and Audrey Darling of Reeths-Puffer (tenth place).

Holland Christian won the girls team title with 53 points, followed by Mona Shores (58), Whitehall (78), Reeths-Puffer (83), Kenowa Hills (100) and Fruitport (120).

In the boy’s Trojan Division, Jackson Helmer of Mona Shores was the top local runner, finishing fourth with a time of 17:48.15. Brent Schlaff of Reeths-Puffer finished sixth and Caleb Branch of Mona Shores took seventh.

Jenison won the team competition with 28 points, followed by Holland Christian (51), Mona Shores (86), Kenowa Hills (128), Whitehall (140), Reeths-Puffer (143) and Fruitport (153).
