The North Muskegon tennis team improved its overall record to 8-2-2 on the season with a victory and a tie on Saturday.

The Norse defeated Grand Rapids West Catholic 5-3, then tied with Comstock Park 4-4 in a pair of non-conference matches.

The Norse had undefeated records in two flights. The No. 2 doubles team of Pierce Marczak and Jack Taylor and the No. 4 doubles team of Grayson Hinton and Gus West both went 2-0 on the day.

Winning one of two matches for North Muskegon were Chris Erndteman (No. 2 singles), Troy McManus (No. 3 singles), Charlie Branch (No. 4 singles), Quinn Kersman and Ethan Koman (No. 1 doubles), and Shamus Corbett and Gavin Grimm (No. 3 doubles).
