The Whitehall tennis team flexed its muscle in singles competition, but didn’t do as well in doubles, in a 4-4 tie with Lansing Catholic on Wednesday in a non-conference match.

The Vikings swept all four singles matches in straight sets. Winners for Whitehall were Ashton Trnka (No. 1 singles), River Morrison (No. 2 singles), Ryan Findorff (No. 3 singles) and Rob Hentschel (No. 4 singles).

Whitehall doubles teams played battled hard in their matches, but lost all four.

Aiden Raymond and Christian Smolen went three full sets in their No. 1 doubles match before falling in a third-set tiebreaker. Christopher Mark and Christian Lounds forced a first-set tie-breaker before losing at No. 3 doubles.
