The Fruitport tennis team had some success on Monday, despite being shorthanded and falling to Grand Rapids West Catholic 6-2 in an O-K Blue conference match.

Fruitport’s Brady Weck cashed in at No. 2 singles, beating West Catholic’s Connor Penn 6-2, 6-2. Zander Beatty also registered a win for the Trojans, beating Will Ostermeyer 6-0, 6-4 at No.3 singles.

The Trojans were at a disadvantage due to a short roster on Monday. They had to forfeit at No. 4 singles and the third and fourth flights in doubles.
