Kent City’s defense forced three turnovers in a 16-0 shutout victory over Morley Stanwood.

Both defenses dominated in the first half which ended tied 0-0.

The Eagles finally opened the scoring in the third quarter with a touchdown. They converted the ensuing two point conversion, making the score 8-0.

In the fourth quarter the Eagles tacked on another touchdown, converted the ensuing two point conversion, and extended the lead to 16-0.

Mason Westbrook led the Eagles rushing attack with 70 yards and a touchdown. Webb Longcore also scored a touchdown in the game.

Defensively, Westbrook led the team with seven tackles, including two for a loss.  Chase Moreno had four tackles and a fumble recovery while Joe Anderson recovered a fumble and Kyle Montarusso added an interception. 

Kent City will visit Hesperia next Friday.
