Mona Shores soccer had its home opener at its newly renovated complex on Saturday and walked away with a 3-0 shutout of Zeeland East.
The Sailors grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first half with goals coming from Abe Freye and Gavin Cheatum. Diego Godoy and Ethan Brown assisted on each goal, respectively.
Hayden Yaros gave Mona Shores a 3-0 second-half lead to round out scoring.
Keegan Dekuiper posted his second shutout of the season as the Sailors are now 3-0 on the year and 3-0 in O-K Green action.
Mona Shores hosts Holland on Tuesday for a 6:45 p.m. start, which will be the Sailors ceremonial game for the kickoff of the new soccer complex.
