Mona Shores volleyball team opens season with a three-set sweep over Zeeland East

The Mona Shores volleyball team opened the season with a clean 3-0 sweep of Zeeland East in O-K Green Conference action on Thursday.

The set scores were 25-13, 25-14, and 25-19.

Bri Wade paced the Sailors with 12 kills while Brooke LeRoux added eight and Riley Rosenthal had six. Grace Norris dished out 18 assists and Olivia Sobczak contributed 12.

Defensively, Ava Dunn led the way with three blocks while Holli Brus and Brooke LeRoux had 11 and 7 digs, respectively.

The Sailors are now 1-0 overall and in conference play.
