Muskegon Catholic volleyball squad rolls past Algoma Christian, falls to Hesperia in a 3-team meet

The Muskegon Catholic volleyball team rolled past Algoma Christian in the opener of a three-team non-conference meet on Thursday.

The set scores were 25-20, 25-14 and 15-10.

MCC lost its second match to Hesperia 3-0. The set scores were 25-17, 25-15, 15-10.

Erin LaVigne led the Crusaders on the night with 12 kills. Claire LaVigne had 32 assists and five aces, while Alena Martin served up four aces. Defensively, Emma Maierhauser had 17 digs while Cara Burkall and Maria Modoff had four and three blocks, respectively.
