The North Muskegon Norsemen kicked off their football season with a 42-0 victory over West Michigan Conference foe Shelby on Friday.

The Norse led off the scoring when quarterback Brennan Pannucci completed a 25-yard touchdown pass to Amarion Dickerson in the first quarter. Collin Schotts added a two-yard touchdown run later in the first, and the Norse led 14-0.

Pannucci completed his second touchdown pass from 10 yards out to Joe Duplissis with just under three minutes to go in the second quarter, and it was 21-0 North Muskegon at halftime.

Amarion Dickerson returned the opening kickoff of the second half 88 yards for a touchdown. Schotts scored again on a 15-yard run and the Nose led 35-0 after three quarters.

Nick Dana closing the scoring in the fourth quarter, recording a three-yard touchdown run, making the final score 42-0.

Pannucci threw for 86 yards and two touchdowns. Schotts led the Norse in rushing with 74 yards and a touchdown and snagged an interception on the defensive side. Dickerson had two receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown.

Dickerson also had six tackles, including a sack, on defense. Cutter also had an interception for the Norse, while Champ Young added a sack and 2 ½ tackles for losses.
