Spring Lake volleyball rallies from early deficit, but falls to Hamilton in a five-set struggle

The Spring Lake volleyball team came up short in an O-K Blue conference matchup against Hamilton on Thursday.

The Lakers lost the first two sets, rallied to win the third and fourth, then fell by three points in the fifth. The set scores were 15-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19 and12-15.

Alicia Mumby paced Spring Lake with 19 kills and Lily Garrison added eight. Nadaly Knox and Kendra Kieft each served up two aces while Kyla Kobylak totaled 35 assists.

Defensively, Kieft had 31 digs with Kobylak providing 14 and Meah Bait adding 13. Alicia Mumby totaled six blocks and Nicole Schmitt chipped in three.
