After a long break due to the COVID pandemic, the Local Sports Journal magazine is back!
The magazine was not published for seven months, simply because there wasn’t much in the way of sports happening in the Muskegon area.

But now, with all the high school teams back in action, and the Muskegon Lumberjacks preparing to start their season, publication is back in full swing, with the full support of our great advertisers.

The latest edition features Muskegon Catholic Central running back Joe Waller on the cover. The magazine documents the Montague girls golf team’s run to the Division 4 state championship, some very impressive individual performances by area high school football stars, the Lumberjacks’ determination to play this season despite the possibility of big financial losses, and Fruitport High School’s touching dedication of its soccer field to longtime coach and athletic director Ken Erny, who was recently diagnosed with ALS.
