Carter Golden’s hat trick powered the Fruitport soccer team to a 5-2 victory over Hamilton on Tuesday in the final game of the regular season.

Golden scored on a penalty kick five minutes into the game, giving the Trojans a 1-0 lead. Hamilton scored moments later to tie things up.

Golden struck again with 10 minutes left in the half, giving the Trojans a 2-1 lead at halftime. 

Hamilton made the score 2-2 early in the second half, before Fruitport pulled away with goals from Ryan :Laus, Brady Brown and Golden.

Justin Laus recorded four saves in net for the Trojans.

Fruitport, now 6-5-3 on the season, will play Reeths Puffer in its district opener on Thursday.
