The Fremont cross country teams competed in the Bulldog Invitational at Otsego High School Saturday. 

The boys team dominated their race, finishing in first place with 51 points, well ahead of second place Pinckney with 82 points.

Nathan Walker led the way, finishing first overall with a time of 15:04. Conor Somers ran a personal best 15:30 to finish second. Ben Paige, Adam Ward and Josh Zerfas rounded out the top five runners for the Packer boys. Brennan Schuler was Fremont’s sixth finisher with a personal best of 16:50.

The girls team finished in 10th place, but had several strong runners and personal bests on the day. Taava Johnson led the way with a personal best time of 21:11. Leah Converse (21:32), Erin Norton (22:10) and Emily Curtis (22:13) were the next three finishers, while freshman Elise Pfeiffer rounded out the team of five and ran a personal best 25:47.
